In-person Art Therapy

A typical session will begin by touching base around current or historic concerns that you, the client, want to explore in order to gain greater understanding and new insights, gain closure or develop management strategies or coping skills.

Transpersonal therapists utilise meditation to induce the client into an altered state of consciousness in order to tap into the subconscious prior to engaging in the creative process. This may be in the form of guided visualisation, mindfulness meditation or mindful movement, depending on your needs and preference.

Following meditation, you will move directly into the art therapy process, after which I will work with you amplify and decode the imagery and symbology unveiled through your creative expression.

Art therapy is a powerful tool to access the rich material operating within the subconscious, bringing it to the forefront so you can develop self awareness, cope with stress, work with trauma or grief, boost self-esteem, improve social-skills and explore different aspects of your own personality.
