Holistic Counselling
What is Holistic Counselling?
Holistic counselling is an approach that honours the whole of who you are - mind, body, emotions, creativity, inner life, and your connection to the world around you. Rather than focusing only on problems or symptoms, we make space to understand your experiences within the wider story of your life.
In our work together, I offer a calm, grounded space where you can slow down and listen more closely to yourself. We explore not just what is happening, but how it feels, where it lives in your body, what it may be asking for, and what deeper meaning might be woven through it.
Sometimes this process is conversational and reflective. At other times, we may include gentle creative practices - such as drawing, collage, working with natural objects, or simple symbolic expression - when words feel too small or too tight for what you’re carrying. Creative work is always an invitation, never an expectation.
I also draw on mindfulness, guided reflection, and an awareness of natural rhythms and life cycles. These elements can help you reconnect with your own internal pace, especially during times of transition, uncertainty, or emotional overwhelm.
Holistic counselling recognises that healing doesn’t come from fixing yourself, but from relating to yourself with greater compassion, awareness, and honesty. Together, we create space for insight, integration, and the gradual unfolding of change that feels authentic and sustainable.
This approach can support you to:
Understand yourself more deeply
Navigate life transitions with greater steadiness
Tend to stress, anxiety, or emotional overwhelm
Reconnect with meaning, creativity, and inner resources
Build a kinder, more trusting relationship with yourself
You don’t need to arrive with clear goals or perfect words. You are welcome exactly as you are - and we begin from there.
