I love to play with clay, and Buff Raku Trachyte has become a favourite. I hand-build and glaze each item with food-safe glaze and fire to 1280 degrees Celsius. This ensures that each piece is non-porous so you can safely wash by hand or by dishwasher (but I always prefer to wash sacred objects by hand).
